About Chiropractic
A Biological Approach To Chiropractic
Chiropractic is an extremely safe and effective approach to wellness. Spinal joints that are out of alignment or not moving properly, can affect your health by irritating delicate spinal nerves. One of the symptoms that we perceive as a result of this irritation, is pain. Pain is our body's way of letting us know that there is something wrong. Only about 20% of the nerves in the body have the capability to feel pain.
Chiropractic addresses the Nervous System, or the wiring of the body. Nerves supply electrical signal to all the organs and tissues of the body. As a result of spinal misalignment, this electrical flow can decrease or get disrupted. Pain is an uncomfortable symptom that drives you to go and take care of the problem. However, about 80% of the nerves cannot feel pain. A major disruption to the flow of electricity in these nerves (wires), even at an advanced stage will remain asymptomatic, leaving you unaware that a problem exists. And of course, without an uncomfortable symptom you won't have the motivation to go and take care of your problem. These nerves are the ones responsible for harmonizing the involuntary functions of the 5 different systems in your body. The pain sensing nerves are involved in the motor function of the muscular system.
Summarized below are the 6 major systems of the body, innervated by the nervous system, followed by an explanation of some of possible symptoms that may arise as a result of an imbalance in the system.
1. The Glandular System
